A family’s promise, kept every year
The Foundation began with one town and one idea: that no child in Akwaeze should leave school because the fees could not be found.
It is funded entirely by Chief Sir Dr. Ikenna K. Okafor, KSS — Ide Akwaeze — and the wider Okafor family. What began as school fees and widow support now reaches several schools, a seminary, blind students at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, the Sickle Cell Group of Anambra State, and a medical outreach open to all.

What we do
Each programme began as a response to something the Foundation saw in the community.
Education scholarships
Full sponsorship from nursery through university, with Common Entrance, WAEC and NECO fees paid.
Medical outreach
Consultations, laboratory work, treatment and eye care — free, and open to anyone who comes.
Widow and widower support
Regular financial and material support for widows and widowers in Akwaeze and nearby towns.
Schools and buildings
Laboratories, dormitories, an e-library, an administrative block and boreholes — mostly at CHS Akwaeze.

Message from the Chairman
“Onye enyere ya nye.”
Whoever gives, is given to. That is the belief on which this Foundation was built, in the memory of my late father, Chief Paulinus Okafor.
Every year we gather in Akwaeze to count what has been done, to read the names of those we support, and to thank everyone who has stood with us. We will keep going for as long as there is a child who needs a school fee, a widow who needs a hand, or a patient who needs care.
